MOSAIC CUTTER

FT 5086

This quality tool is designed to easily cut glass without the use of a traditional glass cutter. It is especially good at quickly cutting small mosaic pieces of glass, and at removing small points from a piece of glass.

This tool can cut varying thickness of glass from 1/32" to 1/4" with ease; Ceramic Tile, Mosaic, Terrazo, Agate, and Shells can also be cut.

The handles are designed for comfort, and since little pressure is needed, even those with weak wrists will find it easy to use.

Made with a replacable long lasting carbide wheel jaw.

Prior to first usage place spring on points A and B located on handle of tool.

1. Safety - Always use proper eye-protection.

2. Cutting - Hold the tool in a scissor-like fashion. Line the cutting head up on the desired cut line. Work over a bin or box to catch the broken off pieces of glass. Squeeze the handles - a small amount of pressure is all that is needed. The glass will break apart with little or no chipping.

Keep the wheels perpendicular to the piece of glass when cutting. If the cutter is at an angle the resulting cut edge of glass will also be at an angle (thus preventing it from sitting flush to another piece of glass).

To shape specific curved areas, it is best to cut away small pieces at a time. You may find it helpful to turn the piece of glass over periodically to better cut the desired shape.

3. Carbide Cutting wheel - When the cutting wheel dulls, loosen with Allen wrench and slightly rotate wheels and re-tighten screws. Replace wheels by removing screws and putting on new ones.
