USE
Thanks to their smooth movement
and their quality of finishing, these brass hinges belong to the
top of quality fitting items for glass.
They are designed for 6 and
8 mm glass door, for furniture, show cases.
DESCRIPTION
Two models are available, with
differencies in the notching and drilling.
- 640 01S, 640 00R and 640 49U : for glass
doors not exceeding 1000 mm X 500 (H x W)
- 640 11C, 640 51W and 640 47S : for glass
doors not exceeding 1400 mm X 600 (H x W)
Outside look, function and movement are identical.
- rotation on ball,
- fixing plate
is one complete part of the hinge,
- to be fixed on wooden, metal,... frame
FIXING
- Notch (and drill) the glass doors.
- Unscrew the counter plates.
- screw bottom and upper fixing plates onto
frame.
- Set up the glass doors on the pivot hinges,
making sure that cork shims will avoid direct contact between
glass and metal on one hand, and avoid the glass to slide inside
the hinge.
- Screw back the counterplates tightly on the
hinges.
FINISH
Pivot hinges of the ADLER "Prestige"
range, made of brass, come with three finishes :
- polished chrome
- gold-plated
- mat chromed
" DESIGN "
ADLER® RANGE
USE
The "Design"
ADLER® pivot hinge range is a declination of the
"PRESTIGE" range, it is however different with its softer
outside shape (round and champfered edges). Other features are identical.
The " Design "
ADLER® pivot hinge range has the same outside
dimensions than these of the "Prestige" range (65 x 36
mm). It is different in regard of :
- the row material, made of
aluminium bronze,
- the ball less rotation system.
Two models are available :
- hinges with plate : 639 50M,
639 51N, 639 52P
- hinges on socket : 639 53Q,
639 54R, 639 55S
They are designed
for fixing 6 and 8 mm glass doors, with dimensions not exceeding
1400 X 600 mm (H x W) on wood, metal etc of furniture and display
case frames.
Hinges
with frame plate :
Hinge fits on
the pin axis but both parts (hinge and fixing plate) are independant.

on socket :
Retractable
pivot is in stainless steel, socket is in polyacetal (Delrin). A
headless screw allows pivot to stand out and stay in the socket.
FIXING
- Notch and drill the glass
doors .
- Hinges with plate have the
same notch as hinges 640 11C.
Hinges with frame plate :
- Drill holes for frame plates ;
- Set up the glass doors on
the pivot hinges, making sure that cork shims will avoid direct
contact between glass and metal on one hand, and avoid the glass
to slide inside the hinges. Screw but do not tighten yet the screws
of the counterplates.
- a) Bring the door, hinges
and frame plates in position ;
- b) Screw tigthly bottom and
upper frame plates in position;
- c) Adjust the glass door
in hinges and tighten counterplate's screws.
Hinges on socket :
- Drill the base and the roof
8 mm from the edge, diam.10mm, 8mm minimum depth .
- Insert the socket.
- Set up the hinges on the
glass door, making sure that cork shims are in position. Screw
but do not tighten yet the screws of the counter plates.
- Retract pins after loosening
their headless screws. Set the glass door up. Replace pins and
tighten their screws.
- Adjust the glass door in
hinges.
- Tighten the plate and counterplate's
screws.
FINISH
The ADLER®
"Design" range hinges, in aluminium bronze, are offered
in 3 finishes :
- chrome
- gilded
brass
- mat
chrome
" Economic "
range
USE
These hinges
are perfectly suitable for 5 mm thickness glass door assembling,
especially when quality/price ratio is the main factor.
DESCRIPTION
3 models are
available :
- 2 large models (65 mm x 35
mm),one model has a zamak outer face and a nylon inner face, second
model has 2 zamak surfaces, for glass door not exceeding 22 kg.
- 1 small model (54 mm x 26),
2 zamak sides ; for glass door not exceeding 12 kg.
Identical characteristics :
- rotation in a plastic socket,
- retractable pin.
FIXING
- Notch and drill the glass
door.
- Drill the base and roof,
7 mm from the edge, diam.7.5, depth : 9 mm minimum. Introduce
the nylon socket. Use socket 640 66N or 640 67P to fix hinges
on its glass base.
- Set up hinges on glass door,
making sure that cork shims are fitted. Screw but do not tighten
yet the screws of counterplates.
- Retract pins after loosening
their headless screws. Set the glass door up. Replace pins and
tighten their screws.
- Adjust the glass door in
hinges.
- Thighten the plate and counterplate's
screws .
FINITION

Zamak surfaces
are available with a chrome, glazed chrome, gold and glazed gold
finish.
